One of the tenets at Legacy Trust is our commitment to the community. Each of us take an active role - sitting on boards, volunteering and donating our three T's - Time, Talent and Treasure. We wanted to give you a quick glance at some of the charities we support throughout the year. They all have their own fundraisers and events that might interest you!

Cup of Jōb Community Café

Kristin McLauchlan, along with many of her fellow Lifework Leadership members poured their heart into the creation of Cup of Jōb, building on faith and charitable giving of our community.  Cup of Jōb is a small community café operated under the board leadership of an international organization called Lifework Leadership, which strives to transform cities by transforming their leaders. The ultimate goal with the Cup of Jōb Community Café is to uplift the homeless population by offering a job training and placement program while also giving the community a place to gather for a cup of joe and quality food.  Since opening, the café has been thriving.  The love and support that they have received from all   Kristin and her family continue to support Cup of Jōb by volunteering every weekend.

 K9s For Warriors

Throughout the year, our team supports K9s For Warriors by providing the warriors-in-training with steak dinners, volunteering at telethons, and decorating our sponsored tree at the annual Christmas Tree decorating contest.  Pictured here is Natalie, Kristin, Chelsea and our creative mastermind, Debbie with our winning tree in 2019.  We are always grateful to have the opportunity to support those who have sacrificed so much for our country.

K9s For Warriors is an organization dedicated to training and pairing service animals with former military members that suffer from service-related Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injuries and/or Military Sexual Trauma.  K9s For Warriors is the nation’s largest provider of service dogs to military veterans, rescuing over 1,000 dogs and 640 warriors since 2011.

Gabriel House of Care

Several times each year we prepare and serve meals at the Gabriel House of Care. This is most fun we ever have cooking and serving isn't serving when you get back more than you give.  In this photo are Suzanne Blake and daughter, Keelie, Susan Tronti, Laura McGarity, Natalie Johns and Kristi Quick.

The Gabriel House of Care is an amazing place. Its mission is to provide affordable, temporary lodging in a “community of healing” environment for adult organ transplant and cancer patients and their caregivers who come to Jacksonville for medical treatment. But that doesn't scratch the surface.
