Rodney McLauchlan

 CHAIRMAN, FOUNDER

Mr. McLauchlan is a founder and a board member of Legacy Trust Family Wealth Offices where he plays an active role with the company, working with clients on non-traditional investment opportunities such as private equity and international investments.

Rodney began his career in investment banking at Bankers Trust Company where he was an Executive Vice-President and a member of the bank’s management committee. Subsequent to Deutsche Bank’s acquisition of Bankers Trust, Rodney was the Chief Executive Officer for Deutsche Bank in Latin America. He is currently a Senior Advisor to Shearman and Sterling, LLP and Global Strategic Associates. In addition to serving on the board at Legacy Trust Company, Rodney is also an advisory board member of Paper Excellence, a global pulp and paper company and on the investment committee of Global Vision Capital. He is also an advisory board member of Perfin Investimentos; and a former member of the Supervisory Board of Global Collect and former Chairman and Trustee of The Bolles School as well as an emeritus board member of The Wharton at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. McLauchlan earned an MBA from The Wharton School and a BA in Economics from The Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He also holds an APC in Federal Taxation from New York University. Rodney currently resides in Neptune Beach, Florida, and claims as his most significant accomplishment his family — wife Kristin and their five children.
